PTI Stamp-a-faire Tie-Dye Techniques

Rainbow-Badge

A real quick post to jump in all the PTI fun this weekend.  In the spirit of the Stamp Camp event, my family opted to go canoeing and hiking yesterday. The weather was perfect and really could not justify staying inside:(

I am playing catch up today before heading out to the Jazz & Rib Festival. Busy summer. Here is my card.  I had a to band aide it, due to crooked sentiment, but I think its alright to send out.

PTI Day 7 Contest Card

A quick post for Papertrey Ink's challenge today.  I don't think my photography skills show off this card that well, but it is cute in person.  I was inspired by Maile's card here.  I wanted something simple for my Valentines cards this year.  The funny part about this card is the chunky glitter.  It's actually MS Glow in the Dark.  I have a huge bottle of it and it was the only chunky glitter I had on hand.  Wonder if any of my recipients will figure it out!?:)

Supplies:
Stamps: PTI Friendship Jar, Friendship Jar: Spring Fillers
Cardstock: PTI Soft Stone, PTI Pink Patterns Patterned Paper
Ink: Copics, SU Melon Mambo, TH Distress Pumice Stone
Tools: PTI Dies

PTI & Pinterest..What more can a girl ask for?!?!?!

Quick post before walk the dog and start dinner before Scouts!
Another PaperTrey Ink challenge......inspiration from Pinterest.  Oh my gosh, PaperTrey on Pinterest...as if I don't spend way too much time on it.  I love all the sharp pcitures and inspiration.  If only I had enough time to look and create all the great ideas!

Above is my inspiration from Pinterest.  I paired two of my favorites PaperTrey Ink's Spring Moss and quote from Through the Trees. The die is actually Memory Box. Gasp, I know, not PTI, but only tree die I have.

PTI Day 4 Color Contest Card #4

Okay, done for the day. Seriously, have to go start dinner for the kiddos.
This is my last card for the challenge.  I cased the design from my Clean & Simple Card Making class.  I had to tweak it a bit to get the sentiments to work together since I used All About You Additions.

PTI Day 4 Color Contest Card #3

Seriously, this PTI celebration is killing me. Craft area is a mess and why clean the rest of the house when I should create.  I think I may be able to convince my DH it's all good.  I may (I can only wish:) win some PTI stuff which means I won't spend any money.  So this card is so out of my comfort zone.  It started one place and ended up with this grunge chaotic look.  However, I think I might have scored in the pre-tween department.  I asked my 8 year old daughter what she thought about it and got a very dramatic "COOL"!

PTI Day 4 Color Contest Card #1

Today is one of my favorites of PTI's celebration activities, the color challenge.  For more details, visit Nichole's blog.

I took inspiration from the designers' colors as well as their cards they showcased today.  It made it a bit easier to come up with a strategy to get them done.  I love how my version of Lisa's card turned out.  Funny thing about this card, I almost forgot the Pure Poppy!

PTI Day 4 Color Contest Card #2

Today is one of my favorites of PTI's celebration activities, the color challenge.  For more details, visit Nichole's blog.

I took inspiration from the designers' colors as well as their cards they showcased today.  It made it a bit easier to come up with a strategy to get them done.  I tried out my new Memory Box Thanks die, but everything else is PTI!

PTI 5 year Celebration Day 2

I managed to get this card done before kids got home from school.  Some days seem to just fly by. Anyway, here is my take on today's challenge.  I decided to make it super quick and use my Distress Ink and color Maile's whole circle.  I used PTI Eyelet Lace Border Die to make my cut out.

Hope everyone is having some serious PTI fun!

PTI Celebrates 5 with FAB activities and prizes!

It's that time of year again. I am a part-time blogger, but PaperTrey Ink's anniversary does inspire me to be a better blogger during February. HA Yes, I'll admit it's those awesome prizes too.  Honestly, it is fun to be part of something so special.  I love being one of their customers. I truly appreciate how Nichole includes everyone in the celebration.  It was neat to read the DT's fab moments today.  Check out Nichole's blog here for details.

Anyway, despite sun and Super Bowl (I just watch the ads and half time show:), I managed to get a one card done.  I took inspiration from Maile.  She is one of my favorites to go to when I need a quick but sharp card. Unfortunately, I wanted to get this up before going to bed, so the Distress Stickles aren't completely dry and my lighting is not the best.  I am going to try and update tomorrow if we have good sunlight.  This card is for my SIL who is currently deployed to Afghanistan. She is at her half way date to coming home.  I am sending her some Skinny Girl Margarita bath products and Republic of Tea Chocolate Banana...faux drink and chocolate to get her through! I'll update my packaging once I get it done later this week.  Too many to dos and PTI anniversary activities going on in one week.

Edited to show off in better light:)

PTI Jan. 2012 Blog Hop

It's been quite sometime since I have participated in a PaperTrey InkBlog Hop. I just started back blogging, so why not jump right in. My 2011 project was the owl notepad that I made for my daughter for Christmas. She had been asking me for awhile to make her one. She is into owls right now, so I knew Wise Owl was the prefect set. Today I made her birthday (yes, early-her birthday is in June) card which was fun as I took the inspiration from her well-loved notepad. I used all her favorite colors as well. Let's just hope she still likes owls by June:)

Will post supplies later.

Home Projects

Gasp, a short and non-papercraft blog today. Remember I mentioned we moved this past summer. This was an idea that I had saved from Better Homes and Garden. After some research, I found the tree decal on Ebay. The frames are from Target. Yes, I am a bad dog mama and have not yet filled the top frame with our Lily's picture.

Let It Snow

In the spirit of winter and the fact we have some white stuff on the ground, I thought I'd post another "winter" project. I have some friends and family down "South" right now and thought they might enjoy some "snow". The "snowball" in the pail is actually my first attempt at bath fizzies. I have to say they are fun to make but can be a bit challenging. Since I was looking for the snowball look, I was okay when my fizzies collapsed a bit. I think putting them in a regular mold is easier than using the mondo balls.

The cards were inspired by Maile Belles. I tweaked them a bit to fit my purpose.

Supplies:
Stamps: PTI Made in Snow, PTI Made in Snow Mini, PTI In The Meadow
Ink: Copics
Cardstock: PTI White, Spring Moss, Aqua Mist, Soft Stone, PTI Bitty Dot Basics Patterned Paper
Tools: Nesties, PTI Made in Snow Mini Die, Corner Chomper
Other: Pail

Back to Blogging

Well, can you tell we moved last June? Yep, no blog posts for quite some time. I have never painted so much in my life! 5 rooms and bedroom furniture set. However, I did get crafty this Fall after those projects were completed. I need to update with photos, but thought I'd start with my most recent projects.

My daughter and I worked on her Valentines on Christmas break. I scored the bath snowflakes at Jo-Ann's for $.30 after Christmas sale. The pencils are from Target dollar spot (love that place).

Supplies used:
Stamps: Tiny Treats: Valentines, Made in Snow Mini, Basic Backgrounds: Hearts
Cardstock: PTI & SU
Ink: Memento Black, SU Melon Mambo, Copics, Signo White Gel Pen
Tools: Cricut, Nesties, Scor Pal, SU punches
